VACTAN RUST CONVERTER

A superior product for the treatment of corroded steel and iron surfaces. Vactan neutralises the corrosion process by converting the rust into a blue black metallo-organic complex. Vactan is applied to rusted metal surfaces to stop rust, protect the surface and act as a primer before painting. Vactan is self priming and does not need a top coat, but for long term protection it is advisable to topcoat with solvent or water based paint.

Preparation Surfaces should be wire brushed to remove loose rust. Wash surface thoroughly to remove all salts. Surface should be oil and grease free. Application Spray or brush By airless spray a thickness of 60 microns can be achieved By brush a thickness of 40 microns can be achieved Coverage 8-9 metres per litre Drying time From 10 minutes to 2 hours depending on air movement and surface temperatures. Avoid using below 5ºc or above 40ºc Equipment care Clean with water immediately after use
